Haha, good old February hey? Well this time has been real weird for me. I feel like a lot of experiences I've been through lately have permanently changed my character. I don't feel like the guy I was over a year ago, nor do I feel like the guy I was a few months ago either.
What's been on my mind quite a bit lately is how I've just finished writing an application to this music school I want to go to, though I still have to edit, refine, make it good, all of that.
This guy I used to go see to help me with some schoolwork is busy with uni shit lately, so he isn't able to tutor. So it looks like I'll have to find a new tutor/person to help me out. I dunno why I'm mentioning this, I guess part of it is an open 'what's going on' kind of thing.
Socially I'm doing a bit weirdish. I guess I've got some new friends, and it was mainly through just realising that if one group was being too exclusive/cliquey I could do the same thing I learnt from socialising at school—float around. For the most part I'm just focusing on new social connections—the old ones I've been more or less working on, but it's kinda slow and it takes a while to form a connection again.
I guess I'm the jack of all trades in a way—I have connections with many different groups. I was actually doing quite well lately except for one bit of a hiccup, but it's all right now I guess, no ups are without the downs.
I thought about maybe stopping this zine because I just don't feel like the same person who started this zine, especially because I've just changed and this zine kinda feels like a remnant of my old life, but I guess I like writing about my life a bit too much.
Anyways, the scene is pretty much the exact same as how I described in the last issue—business as usual. I feel like how the gig cycle goes is like this—a bunch of big and revolutionary gigs happen at the start of the year, then less and less gigs happen towards the end of the year until the next start of year.
This issue is pretty much a collation of a bunch of stuff that happened and whatever. Enjoy!
