The 'alternative' community is fucking awful nd I'm suck of it.
Isn't 'alternative' supposed to mean rejecting the mainstream? Then why are there so many people who dress and act the same and are literally just copies of the same TikTok shit and of each other just with different names.
The culture doesn't even have a grain of meaning about the music anymore. It's depressed teens desperately trying to find a community and end up with a bunch of pseudo-eshays who encourage what is essentially delinquency and poor lifestyle changes.
Forget gigs. These people sit outside venues, don't even go there for the bands, and cause trouble for the bands and organisers and regularly stir up drama and trouble. No wonder the halls banned gigs and nobody wants to organise them anymore.
I'm glad I got out of trying to fit in with this self-destructive crowd and found my own identity. Not as a 'normal' person or member of the 'alternative' crowd, but simply as someone who just so happens to like rock and roll.
